Created in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) develops its collections based on the original Carhartt garments inspired by the world of work.
The brand combines authentic reinterpretations of these resilient American archetypes by studying the social classes that have used them. This allowed Carhartt WIP to position itself in a new context and to carry on its classics. Carhartt WIP opened its first store in London in 1997 and currently operates more than 80 traditional outlets around the world.
With its own skate team and a dedicated music department, the brand also supports numerous artists and distributes various publications. Since 2010, Carhartt WIP has worked with many collaborators in its industry, including A.P.C., Converse, Fragment Design, Junya Watanabe, Nike, Underground Resistance and Motown.
